What is the right issue discount Calculator?

A rights issue premium discount calculator helps you to understand whether you’re getting a discount or paying a premium when buying additional shares during a rights issue.

Here's how it works: You input the terms of the rights issue, such as the subscription price (the price per share during the rights issue) and the current market price of the stock. Then, the calculator shows you whether the subscription price is higher or lower than the current market price and by what percentage.

For example, if the subscription price during the rights issue is Rs 20 per share and the current market price is Rs 15 per share, the calculator would show you that you're paying a 33% premium (Rs 5 more per share compared to the market price).

Conversely, if the subscription price during the rights issue is Rs 10 per share and the current market price is Rs 15 per share, the calculator would show you that you're getting a 33% discount (Rs 5 less per share compared to the market price).
