Before entering an order a trader needs to check whether the required margins or funds are available for trading. If the required funds are not available the new orders will get rejected since for squaring off an order no new funds are required. To check the funds available in the SAMCO NEST Trader click on “View Order / Trade Report” in the menu option available on top and select “View RMS Limits”.
This shall open a new window where the funds available can be viewed. One can also invoke the RMS limits option by pressing the short cut key – Ctrl + Shift + V.
In the RMS Limits window, click on “Show All Clients” on the top left and then double click on your Client ID. This shall display the limits available on the right window. In this window, “SAMCO” category signifies the funds available in equity, F&O and currency segment, while the “COM” category is for the commodity segment. For Cash Plus and Intraplus clients, the SAMCO Category shall change to “CP/IP”.
The next title “Cash Margin Available” is the margin amount available at the beginning of the day excluding any carry forward positions. The amount transferred during the day can be seen in the “Pay In Amount” option. Margin Used is the total amount already utilized for intraday as well as carry forward trades. Margin Warning % & MtoM warning % is to highlight the % margin utilized and the MtoM margin utilized. MtoM loss is the total of Realized MTM Prsnt & Unrealized MTM Prsnt. Realized MtoM Prsnt is the profit or loss that has been already realized on closing of a position. Unrealized MtoM Prsnt is the notional profit or loss on open positions.
The Current Margin available is the total of Cash Margin Available + Payin Amount – Margin Used + Collateral Value (if applicable)
Negative margin used arrives from the credit on sale of equity shares and carry forward options. It would result in increase of your trading margin with immediate effect.
