Power Mech Projects received an order worth ₹579 crore from BHEL for civil, structural, and architectural work at the 2x800 MW DVC Koderma (KTPS) Phase-II project in Jharkhand. The contract encompasses a broad range of civil works, including:

  • Levelling and grading of the power block area
  • Land leasing and preparation for labor accommodations
  • Construction of restrooms for operation and maintenance workers
  • Building sheds for construction workers

Infrastructure development tasks include laying the foundations for significant structures like the powerhouse, boiler, electrostatic precipitator, mill, bunker, and fan. Additional work involves road paving, walkways, and service facility construction with parking spaces.

The contract also covers the installation of utility and support systems such as:

  • Rooftop solar systems in the power block area
  • Sewage water lines in the power generation zone
  • Civil works for low-pressure piping and fire-fighting systems
  • Pipe racks, cable racks, underground cables, and wire duct civil works

The project is scheduled for completion within three years. Power Mech has secured the order last month from Koderma Project.
